Scan fast.
Share instantly.

A QR scanner that never phones home, a studio for building codes worth looking at, and two ways to share what matters — a digital card that updates itself, and a letter that only opens for the right word.

  • No ads, ever
  • Nothing you type is recorded
  • Scanning stays on-device

Everything in one app

Six tools, no clutter

Scanning, generating and history work the moment you install — no account, no network. Signing in is optional and unlocks the sharing features; nothing else depends on it.

Instant scanning

Live camera scanning with a torch and a front/back toggle. Results land in a sheet you can copy, or open in a hardened built-in browser instead of handing the link to a random app.

The QR Studio

Templates for Website, Wi-Fi, Email, Phone, SMS and plain text. Six palettes, module and finder-eye shapes, and a logo overlay — with a live preview pinned while you tweak.

Searchable history

Your last 100 scanned and generated codes, kept on the device and searchable. Re-render any entry as a QR image and share it again. Cloud backup exists, and is off until you turn it on.

Secret letters

Hide a letter behind a QR code. It unlocks with a word only the two of you know, then types itself out on screen. Your recipient needs no app and no account — just a phone camera.

AES-256-GCMNo app for them

DigiCard

A digital business card living at one permanent URL. Change your job title next year and every code you ever printed still points at the current you — the card holds the address, not a copy.

One URL foreverQR · NFC · link

NFC tags & share cards

Write your link to a blank NFC tag by holding your phone against it, and frame any QR in one of six share-card templates — romantic, birthday, gift, celebration, professional or minimal.

The QR Studio

Codes that look like they belong to you

Most QR generators give you a black square. This one gives you a live preview and every dial worth having, then exports at a resolution you can actually print.

  • Square or rounded modules, square or circular finder eyes
  • Drop in a logo — error correction jumps to High automatically so it still scans
  • Save straight to your gallery or push it to the share sheet

Digital Experiences

A letter that only opens for the right word

Write the message in the app, choose a word the two of you share, and QR Teky hands you a code. Whoever scans it meets a lock screen — and the letter types itself out only once the word is right.

  • Three themes: Midnight Rose, Deep Emerald, Warm Parchment
  • Write your own lock prompt and your own wrong-word reply
  • Set an expiry date, or switch it off later without deleting it

DigiCard

One card. Every phone. No app on their side.

Your name, role, contact details and links at a single address you can hand out as a QR code, an NFC tag or a plain link. Anyone can open it in a browser and save you to their contacts.

  • Edit your details any time — printed codes never go stale
  • Write it to an NFC tag once and tap phones to share
  • Turn the public page off whenever you want

Try it right here

This is what your recipient sees

No install, no sign-up — the same lock screen a scanned code opens.

The word is the key — literally

There is no password stored anywhere to check your guess against. The word you type derives the decryption key. Get it wrong and there is simply nothing to read; get it right and the letter appears.

Demo secret word: forever — try a wrong one first.

Guides

Up and running in three steps

Pick what you came for. Each one takes about a minute.

1

Pick what it holds

Open Generate a QR code and choose a template — Website, Wi-Fi, Email, Phone, SMS or free text. The preview updates as you type.

2

Style it

On Style & Color, choose a palette, module shape and finder-eye shape. Raise error correction if the code will be printed small or on something curved.

3

Add a logo

On the Logo tab, pick an image and set its size. Error correction moves to High on its own so the code survives the overlay.

4

Export

Save a high-resolution PNG to your gallery, or send it straight to the share sheet. It also lands in your history to re-share later.

Built to know nothing

Your letter is sealed before it leaves your phone

This isn't a server checking a password. The message is encrypted on your device, and what we store cannot be read by us, by an administrator with console access, or by anyone who breached the database.

You write

The message and your secret word exist only in the app, on your phone.

The phone seals it

Your word derives a key — PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256, 210,000 iterations — and AES-256-GCM locks the letter.

We store ciphertext

Only the sealed envelope, a salt and a nonce. Never the message, never the word, never a hash of it.

They unlock it

Their browser derives the same key from the word you told them and decrypts it locally. A wrong word simply fails.

Questions

Straight answers

The things people ask before installing.

Does QR Teky work without internet?

Yes. Scanning, generating QR codes and your history all run on the device and need no connection and no account. Only the optional sharing features — DigiCard, Digital Experiences and history backup — use the network.

Do I need an account?

Not for the QR scanner, the generator or history — those work the moment you install. You only sign in if you want a DigiCard, a secret letter, or your history backed up to your own account.

What is a secret letter, and how does it work?

It is a private message hidden behind a QR code. You write it in the app and choose a secret word. The message is encrypted on your phone with a key derived from that word, and only the encrypted result is uploaded. Whoever scans the code sees a lock screen, and the letter appears — typing itself out — once they enter the right word.

Does the person receiving a letter or card need the app?

No. They scan the code with any phone camera and the page opens in their browser. No install, no account, nothing to sign up for.

Can anyone at QR Teky read my secret letter?

No. The message is sealed with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your secret word (PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256, 210,000 iterations) before it leaves your phone. What gets stored is the encrypted envelope, a salt and a nonce — never the message, never the secret word, and never a hash of it. Nobody can recover the word for you if you forget it.

Is my scan history uploaded anywhere?

No, unless you switch backup on yourself. By default your last 100 scanned and generated codes are stored only on your device. Backup is off until you enable it, and it syncs to your own private account area.

Can I put a logo in my QR code and will it still scan?

Yes. Add an image on the Logo tab and set its size. Error correction is raised to High automatically when you add a logo, so the code stays readable even with the overlay covering part of it.

Does the app track what I scan or write?

The app uses Microsoft Clarity to see which screens people use and where they get stuck. It is set up with masking applied to the entire app, so the text you type and the images on screen are obscured before anything is sent — your letters, your secret words, your contact details and the contents of codes you scan never leave your device. Scanning itself is still processed on your phone, and there is no advertising SDK.

What does QR Teky cost?

It is free on Google Play, with no ads and nothing to unlock.
